You don't need ASPI when you use STI. There is no difference on performance between STI and ASPI. But when you scan with USB interface, STI is a must. Only KV-S2026C, KV-S2046C and KV-S7065C among Panasonic scanners are available for STI. Others require the ASPI.ISIS stands for Image and Scanner Interface Standard.
